Twice the Celebration!

I couldn't think of a more perfect little boy to celebrate twice!
We had nuggy's "family" party while we were at our wild, wonderful home and lets just say...

he enjoyed some parts of it!

Obviously!
Other parts...he didn't care for!
(Neither of my babies like the spotlight!)
Now eating the ice cream cake...that's another story!
We rounded out the day with our first, annual...

Wiffle Ball Tournament
Now for little man's stats:

Length:  29 1/4 in.
Weight:  17.6 lbs.
Head:  18 cm.

He is still our little guy but is finally catching up!

In the month before his b-day, he...
sat up,
held his head up without it "sagging",
 pulled-up,
starting traversing,
waving bye-bye.
(just started blowing kisses),
eating a ton and using his fingers to do so,
and last...wearing his cute little baseball hat!

What about his hearing...

We took him to his follow-up with the ENT and here is the story with his hearing (as I understand it).  The ear canal itself has gotten bigger, which is what they were expecting and is a positive.  There is a lot of fluid and the ear drum itself is not moving...but, he has not had any infections which they think is awesome considering most babies with water in their ears fight infections constantly.  Regardless of the lack of ear infections, they want us to put tubes in his ears so the water will drain and hopefully the ear drum will start moving.  They repeated the in-office testing and feel like there is some improvement, but again it is hard to get good results with a moving baby.  What have we decided...after discussing with his pediatrician we are going to get tubes put in his ears.  She feels like the reason he is consistently 6-8 weeks behind on most "milestones" has to do with the hearing loss.  She also informed me that his ENT is not a "surgery is the answer" kind of doctor, which me and Chris both agree.  Remember...after the audiologist recommended we put a hearing aid in his ear at 3 months old he advised that that was a little "crazy" at that point.  Also, we are going to have another sit-down with him for him to asses him one more time.  So, all that being said, if he is still recommending the proceedure we will probably move in that direction.

Personality wise...
he is still pretty laid back, but is getting a little attitude.  He'll pitch a good one if he doesn't get what he wants and he is starting to interact a lot with his sissy!  He'll crawl right over to her and pull her hair...not saying much to him at this point due to he deserves a few pay-backs, but soon!

Like I always say...
Jesus continually gives me more than I deserve!  Thank You!
