House Projects.
I have decided with this home, I was not going to just buy anything to fill up space. I wanted it to be exactly what I wanted even if I had to find more affordable creative ways of getting it. Take my dinette space...as soon as I laid my eyes on those chairs...I had to have them. Luckily, they were in my budget! I also knew I wanted roman shades and there are 6 windows. After I was given the cheapest quote of $1100.00 to have them made (that was without the cost of fabric) I knew I would have to look into other options. Still being stubborn and wanting them...I decided to take on the project myself. Yes...this was my first sewing endeavor and they turned out perfect!
Roman Shades - Materials $350 (Christmas $ from Prices)
Chairs - HomeGoods $99/per chair (had $175 in gift cards)
Table - Family Heirloom $20 to refinish (free husband labor)
Vase - Fiesta (mom hand-me-down)
Flowers - Aunt B (Mothers Day gift)
Prints/Frames on wall - IKEA $50
This room is pretty much finished except for Paint.
