We spent a few days at the beach before heading home and had a great time! It is an understatement to say our girl loves her mamaw...they are inseparable when they are together! We spent the majority of our time in the indoor pool for two reasons...first, our boy was running a fever and we took turns keeping him inside and the second being Ri loves the indoor pool?? Confused by this but it worked this go around!
We also had an early celebration for daddy's birthday...dinner and ice-cream cupcakes!
We were worried Ri had lost her mojo in the pool after we took her at home.
We had expected her to jump in and go to it. She did not feel the same about the water as she did at the end of last year. We could barely get her to loosen her grip around our necks. We let her go to the baby pool and watched her as she would put her head under the water...and continue to get progressively more brave...but still, anytime she entered the big pool she bear hugged us. One morning, after going to the pool with mamaw, she came into the condo raving about how she could swim. Now, after living at the pool...she"ll jump off the side and swim back like it's nothing. We should know by now...our sweet girl does everything in her own time her own way!
She loves to race and "beat" anybody at anything...so, her and daddy went to it. I love Chris...he will not just let her win. She gets so frustrated about this...but, I think it's good for her!
Of course, she had to go flying!
And then...little man's fever decided to break and so daddy brought him outside!
This kid loves looking at the world from a different perspective!
Ri was pretty stoked that "my Kellan" showed up to play for a little while!
So...he sat on Pop's lap and made sweet eyes at his aunt B!
We had a great time and are looking forward to our family trip to Kiawah in a week!
