Round Two!

DING...DING...DING!

Mother's Day was not how I had pictured...our plans were to pick strawberries at a local farm and spend a quiet weekend with my babies and my husband.  Instead, me and the kids headed to WV...and trust me, it's never quiet when we all get together!

Our Livi...well she gets stuck being the big girl waiting on the little ones to cooperate!

Our little Lover is lovin' on his ladies!

Dad...well he gets stuck behind the grill because he is so good at it!  Trust me, if you think it looks good you have no idea!  I wish you all could have a bite!

Seriously...you thought ribs would be all that was on the menu?

We spent time playing...

...some winning

...some losing!

And when we headed inside...little man decided to show us his skills!

Sleeping Beauty decided to do what we all wanted to do and pass out!

But...

sometimes life doesn't let you rest! 

It's hard to put into words how you feel about your mom.  Mine is strong!  She always has had this little fire in her that keeps her going regardless of her situation.  Last year, we watched as she fought this cancer that invaded our entire family...this year we will watch her do it again!  So, while this is not the Mother's Day we had hoped for...this is what God has given us!  That is sometimes hard to wrap your mind around...God has allowed cancer to again invade my mom's body.  But, I serve a big God who has plans of his own and who has given me a very, strong mother!  One...who if it is His will, will walk through this challenge with an amazing grace and come out with that same fire in her spirit that we all love and depend on!  

So, to my momma...

you are more than we could ever ask for!
