...(only 10 more days!)

...can't sleep! UGHHH...it is so frustrating! My mind won't stop churning...has anyone seen the off button?

Anywho...have I told you all I love Christmas! Everything about it...lights, movies, decorations, music! I could go on. Me and Chris put the kids to bed and watched Four Christmases the other night...it was cute. He is not feeling well and fell asleep and I knew K would be up to feed again, so I searched ON DEMAND for something interesting to watch.

Found it!

They have a music section and yes,...Christmas Concerts! I watched a few random video's and settled on Mercy Me's Christmas special that actually aired on the gospel channel. It was really good. K woke up and I fed my sweet boy while listening to all the Christmas Songs. Then one I had never heard...the lead singer introduced it with a brief explanation. It is a song they had wrote from Joseph's perspective (yes, Jesus' earthly father). The song is called Joseph's Lullaby and I LOVE IT! Turn your volume on and you will hear it playing. BEEEEAUTIFUL! I don't think you can listen to that song, especially holding your baby, and not be in awe of Joseph and Mary. It was the first time I let my mind wonder into their perspective. They loved Him, raised Him, knew the ins and outs of His smile and His laughter and at the same time knew He wasn't really theirs...He was the Savior, the Son of God who was sent to earth, as a man, to "save the day!"

The lyrics... "I believe the glory of Heaven is lying in my arms tonight...Lord I ask that He for just this moment simply be my child" brought me to tears. If it were me...I would be begging!
So, I will celebrate! I will wake up Christmas morning smiling and laughing with all of my family as we open gifts, cook, eat and play. I will be grateful and celebrate the One who has given me and all of my family...way more than we deserve!
Our neighborhood had their Christmas Party and we decided to greet Santa and Mrs. Claus. R was so excited and talked and talked about Santa, but unfortunately (just like last year) wanted nothing to do with his lap. K, on the other hand, thought he was pretty cool...well, at least his beard.

The day was not a loss for R...yes, they had horse and carriage rides through the neighborhood. SHE WAS IN HEAVEN. Our horse was named Kate (the white one) and she informed everyone that she rode Kate and Alillia's horsey!
Oh...how she loves her Alillia!
