The BIG 30...

No...I'm not celebrating turning 30 again! It is week 30 of my pregnancy...and since I have not talked about my sweet boy in a while I thought I'd let you all know how he's doing.

First of all...he moves...ALOT! We just got back from a trip to Annapolis and I thought maybe the plane ride had something to do with it...but he went for 14 hours straight. I am not talking little butterfly flutters here and there...I am talking he was skipping, jumping, taking karate lessons, he even won a gold medal on the vault...need I go on. Chris and I laughed for what seemed to be most of the day, as we drove to our hotel and toured half the city. By the time we were mid-movie, (yes...we got to see a movie together...finally!) I had had enough and Chris said "this is starting to worry me a little". No worries...all is well, but I did call my doctor just to make sure because he managed to hold still for only a couple hours before waking me up again that night. So, to say the least and mentally prepare myself...he's an ACTIVE little boy. Yea!

On to his name...we get countless questions (if they even get it right) about R's name...the most often being...where did you come up with that? Definitely not from a book...and to be honest, we have no clue. So in naming our sweet boy, we knew we could not do anything traditional...meaning, we couldn't have a Rilynn and a John...so, the search was on for a name that would fit with Robert (after Christopher and both our fathers, grandfathers, great-grandfathers, etc.). We found that every name we came up with either started with a [C] or [K] and ended with an [on], [an] or [en].

Enter Kellan. We were watching a movie at Jake and Aimee's (Twilight) and as soon as the credits start running...I see it. Kellen Lutz. I said it out loud and Chris said "That's a good one...I like it". We then narrowed it down to our top two...Colton and Kellan. Chris made the final decision (remember my favorite necklace). So...only to give you a visual...and to pay homage to the guy who helped us name our sweet baby boy...
meet Kellan Lutz

I know...not bad! He only needs to take off that RED hat (daddy would never let him wear a red ball cap...sorry Georgia fans)...grow about another 5-6 inches...change his eye color...and this could possibly be what our sweet boy will look like! It will at least have to hold you over for a couple more months...until we introduce you to Kellan Robert!

Have a great couple weeks...we are headed to the beaches of SC!
