Started with a scare...ended with a surprise!

We found out about our sweet boy on Thursday, but also got some scary news. We were being sent to a specialist due to the lateral ventricles in his brain measuring "borderline high". Here was the scary part...the doctor (who is not my doctor, but another in the practice I was meeting for the first time) did not explain much, nor did we ask any questions. To say the least, it kind of flew over our heads which made this weekend (for me) somewhat stressful. I needed to know that measurement and what he meant by borderline high!!!
Fast forward to today... the cut off is 10mm and our sweet boy is measuring 10.5mm. What does this mean? It means there is a very good chance we will have a very healthy little boy. All other tests and measurements were normal and the doctor seemed very positive with the outlook. I will continue to see him once a month to monitor the situation. Basically, we are looking to see that the ventricles do not get any bigger. Please remember him in your prayers!
Now here is the surprise...
Hiding...
sucking his thumb...

sweetly resting!

The ultrasound today was a little more detailed and can I just say AMAZING...I will tell you this, it is not always easy carrying a little one in your belly...but I am so excited and grateful that I am!

I found your blog off of Ashlys and was reading it. My last baby I had in August (which is my 4th chid) also had that found on ultrasound hers was actually measuring at 12. I had a few of level 2 ultrasounds and then they thought her profile was a little off so they convinced me into doing an amnio. I did it and was panicking for the next few days waiting for the results to come back. Everything turned out to be completely fine. They just kept watching and by 6.5 months everything seemed to have finally balanced out. They told me sometimes we just have to good of technology that shows us everything that we would have never known was a little off and isn't really a problem.

Sarah
This little boy is going to be just fine.
I plead the blood of Jesus over this little one in Jesus Name. I pray that God will hold this little boy in the palm of his hands and protect him daily. Read this little poem I found and prayfully this will help your anxiety:
May the baby that dwells within me Lord in strength and wisdom grow swaddled warm within your loving arms like a baby long ago.
With your presence too inside me, Lord deep in my heart to stay
stand guard upon this little child, both baby and me I pray.
Nine months too short a time to share the baby, you and me please grant our hearts still beat as one throughout eternity.
Isiah 66:13
As a mother comforts her child so will I comfort you!
I pray in Jesus name for God to cover you in his peace!
We love you and Chris and R and promise you to pray daily.
...just a thought, I have a grilfriend that they told her the baby's heart beat was not beating at 4 mos. She had further test, they told her the same thing. She refused to except and believe them. She prayed and prayed and claimed his life. Long story short...Benjamin is now 5 years old. Pray Sarah and claim it!
(he was the cute little boy in Aimee and Jakes wedding with the dark curly hair) He was just up front of church singing the books of the bible!
God has a plan for this little boy of yours and Satan is trying to steel your blessing and your JOY!
Love ya, have a blessed DAY!

Sara!!! congrats on a boy! they are sooo amazing and sweet and cuddily as you know! I am definitely gonna keep you in our prayers! I am convinced he will be perfect. I don't know if you remember but we had some scares with Hana and she is perfect now. Remember I was bed rested because I had low amniotic fluid with her toward the end. Its fun keeping up with you and all your news! Just take the lesson in this, trust in Him!!
